Burly Esque is Kansas City’s premier opera-singing drag queen and our host for the evening. Burly was recently awarded The Pitch KC’s Best Drag Artist of 2025, a huge accomplishment, having just started performing in drag in 2024. Burly is a natural-born performer and lifelong entertainer. In 2020, they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Theatre from William Jewell College. Shortly after, they acquired their Master's of Music in voice from Texas Tech University. Since returning to her hometown of Kansas City, Burly has taken the drag scene by storm with her quick wit, vibrant personality, and masterful vocal ability. She is most regularly seen at Missie B’s, Nighthawk, and The Bottleneck. You can find her all over Kansas City and Lawrence, hosting & performing in shows with other drag performers, musical ensembles, and comedians.
