2018 Cass County Organization Meeting
We WILL NOT be meeting at Brewbaker's this month due to our Bi-Annual ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING.
LOCATION - Cass County Courthouse
Every 2 years the Cass County Central Democratic Committee reorganizes by electing two of its members, a man and a woman, as Chair and Vice Chair, and a man and a woman who may or may not be members of the committee as Secretary or Treasurer. This meeting is this coming Thursday, August 23rd at 6:00 pm at the Old County Courthouse on The Square in Harrisonville.
Only committee people can vote for the new officers, but all are welcome to attend.
August 7th Primary Election Guide
Things to remember:
-If you are in line at 7:00 pm you get to vote
-Stay back at least 25' from the entrance to the building if you are electioneering for a cause or candidate
-DO NOT wear clothing from a candidate or cause campaign, this is considered electioneering and you will not be allowed to vote.
-Call the Election Protection Hotline: (866) OUR-VOTE -- (866) 687-8683 if you are registered and have any problems casting your ballot.
Missouri's Primary election is Tuesday, August 7th. Polls are open from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Phyllis Sheaks
We are saddened to bring you the news that our dear friend, Phyllis Sheaks, has passed away. We will always remember Phyllis for her fierce spirit and unwavering support for Democratic candidates and Progressive causes. If there was a job to do, Phyllis was always there to lend a hand. We all miss Phyllis, but we will always carry her memories with us as we continue the fight for what she so strongly believed in. Deadline to Register to Vote is WEDNESDAY, July 11th!
August 7th is the Primary Election in Missouri. Here in Cass County, we will choose our 4th Dist. Congresswoman, State Rep candidate in Dist. 33 and #VoteNoOnPropA. Don't be left out of this decision! Make sure you are registered by Wednesday and pull a Democratic ballot on August 7th!
If you live in the North part of the county, go to the DMV in Belton on Main St. If you live in the South part of the county, you can register at the County Clerks office in the Old Courthouse on the Square in Harrisonville. Questions? Let us help!
2018 Cass County Fair
Please join us the weekend of July 13th and 14th at the Cass County Fair in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Stop by our booth at the Downtown Depot The hours will be:
Friday, July 13th - 5pm - 9pm
Saturday, July 14th - 9am - 8pm
Join us for the parade that begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Pleasant Hill High School and proceeds downtown. The lineup will begin at 7:45-8:00 am. No entrants will be allowed after 8:30 am. Enter from Myrtle Street at 7 Highway and proceed east to Rooster Way into the high school parking lot.
