Pam Jenkins Hatcher - MO House District 56

For far too long our district (Belton/Raymore) has lacked a respected voice in Jefferson City! What will Pam do?

  • As a successful small business owner, she'll grow our economy, jobs, and businesses
  • She'll work for access to affordable healthcare for ALL

Cass County Democrats endorse ballot measures

The Cass County Democratic Central Committee has endorsed a YES vote on Amendment 3 and Prop A and a NO Vote on Amendment 7. The committee remains neutral on Amendments 2, 5, and 6.
The committee agreed that a Vote of NO on the retention of Supreme Court Justices KELLY C. BRONIEC and GINGER K. GOOCH was warranted, but a formal vote was not taken.

2024 Statewide Candidates

Missouri Dem Statewide Candidates running in 2024

Mark Osmack Treasurer

Learn More About Mark

As a husband and father of two young daughters, Mark understands the demands and costs of raising a family. He will make Missouri the place families want to stay in and move to rather than leave.

Missouri government has played fast and loose with benefits earned by our retired citizens and enhancements for Missouri farmers to thrive. As a 4th generation Missourian, Mark will not bend or yield to the games of Jefferson City threatening to end these benefits.

As a Missourian who attended public schools and as a soldier deployed to war twice, Mark personally understands the critical need for supporting those who protect and educate us…because he’s lived it

Barbara Phifer Secretary of State

Learn More About Barbara

Free and Fair Elections - Ensuring that Missouri’s elections are well-run and accessible to all eligible voters is paramount, and as Secretary of State, Barbara will protect your vote.

Open For Business - The Secretary of State’s role in registering new businesses is an important part of the job. Keeping the wheels of business moving in our state is something Barbara understands.

Support Public Libraries - As an avid reader, and as a grandmother, Barbara values very much the role of the public libraries in our state and will endeavor to support them as your Secretary of State.

Lucas Kunce US Senate

Learn More About Lucas

Our politicians have spent decades sparking phony culture wars to distract and divide our families. They’ve become so obsessed with controlling our lives, they made Missouri the first state in the nation to ban abortion — without exceptions for victims of rape or incest.

Our state deserves a Senator who will stand up and fight for it, not run for the exit like Josh Hawley.

I’m running for U.S. Senate to be the warrior for working people that Missouri deserves. To fight for our state. And we aren’t fighting the corporate status quo just to make a point. This is a race we can win.

Crystal Quade Governor

Learn More About Crystal

Growing up in rural Missouri, Crystal Quade often made the trek to help her mom prepare the diner where she worked double and triple shifts waitressing.

They lived on a gravel road, and Crystal became the first in her family to graduate from high school. Then she worked her way through Missouri State, began her own family, and was elected to serve as Democratic Leader of the Missouri House of Representatives.

Now Crystal is running for Governor to take on extremists in Jefferson City, who will ban abortion, birth control, and even IVF, and who will put the interests of wealthy political insiders above doing what’s best for Missouri’s working families.

Crystal has been leading the fight for our families — restoring our reproductive freedom, standing up to corporate special interests, and stopping China and Russia from buying up our farmland and squeezing Missouri farmers out.

Richard Brown Lt. Governor

Learn More About Richard

I'm a retired Public School teacher with common sense.  Born on a U.S. military base in Ft. Riley, KS, I have lived in Missouri since I was an infant.  I grew up in the historic Kansas City 18th and Vine Neighborhood (Parade Park) and currently live in the same Kansas City neighborhood for the past 51 years. I am a concerned neighbor like you.

As a lifelong Missourian, I have concerns as I watch the direction in which our state is moving. As a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, I have been a strong advocate for better healthcare, improving the standard of living for working families, and keeping children safe.

I am not a politician, I am a public servant who has demonstrated leadership and common sense while serving with integrity in the state legislature.

Elad Gross Attorney General

Learn More About Elad

I'm running for Attorney General to sue scammers, including those in our government.

Elad is a constitutional and civil rights attorney who often represents Missourians harmed by our government. He has successfully defended Missouri's Sunshine Law at our state Supreme Court, stopped our state government from persecuting whistleblowers, protected workers' rights on the job, and secured the release of innocent Missourians from illegal jailings.

Elad is a lifelong Missourian. He's running for Attorney General to sue scammers; launch Missouri's first Civil Rights Division; protect our families; prosecute corruption; and finally end Missouri's status as the puppy mill capital of the country. It's time we have an Attorney General who represents us.

2024 Reorganization Meeting

Per the Missouri Democratic Party bylaws, we must reorganize our county committee every two years between the 2nd Tuesday and 2nd Saturday after the August Primary election. This reorganization must take place in our county seat.

At the reorganization meeting, we elect a new Executive Committee which consists of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer for the CCDCC. The Chair and the Vice-Chair (one male and one female) must be committee people on the CCDCC. The Secretary and Treasurer (one male and one female) do not need to be committee people.

Since the 55th and the 56th Legislative Districts lie completely within the boundaries of Cass County. The committee members within those legislative districts will meet separately to elect a Chair and a Vice-Chair of their respective districts.

-If due to extenuating circumstances, you cannot attend this meeting, you may give your proxy to another committee member.

-No committee person can carry more than 2 proxies.

-The regular August business meeting will take place after the election of new officers.

-You must be a committee member to vote.

MDP Endorses VP Kamala Harris for President

Last night by zoom meeting, just hours after President Biden passed the torch to Vice President Harris, the Missouri Democratic Party State Committee unanimously endorsed and all Missouri Biden Delegates endorsed Kamala Harris for President.
“First, we’d like to thank President Biden for listening to the American people and making this selfless decision to put America first. The conversation we will continue to have around our Democratic values as we nominate our candidate will only continue to generate excitement and enthusiasm and will re-engage voters. Vice President Kamala Harris is exactly the candidate we need at exactly the moment we need her to beat Donald Trump and his Project 2024 Agenda,” said Missouri Democratic Party Chairman Russ Carnahan.
“President Biden believed that choosing Kamala Harris as Vice President was one of the best decisions he made. His decision to endorse Harris for President has shot a lightning bolt of energy across our country, creating an outpouring of support, volunteers, and small dollar donations. With only 104 days until the election, it was both urgent and critical for Missouri Democrats to unify quickly, and we did that enthusiastically, becoming one of the earliest Democratic State Parties to do so.”
“Missouri has one of the most extreme, near-total abortion bans in the country, which cruelly does not make exceptions in cases of rape or incest, and overturning this ban will be on the Ballot in November. Republican politicians reaffirmed their commitment to their extremism and cruelty this legislative session by blocking a Democratic amendment to Missouri’s near- total abortion ban that would have carved out exceptions for cases of rape and incest. Every Republican voted against this amendment.”
“Heading into November, Missouri Democrats are well positioned to present a strong case to Missouri voters about what is at stake this election and highlight our solutions to address the critical issues facing our communities. The excitement this conversation and a Harris candidacy brings will only propel us forward.”
