January 2022 Meeting

We are excited to get together and talk about our plans for 2022!

We'll be joined by the House Democratic Campaign Committee which has put together some very valuable tools for people who are running for Missouri House. They also do a terrific job of messaging and organizing through their Democratic Legislative Network. Even if you aren't running for office this is a group you need to know about!

Learn about our key focus areas for 2022 and how you can help.

AND, we have a very special guest joining us in Mr. Jim Hogan, candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives.

Send us an email at [email protected] if you'd like to join us!

Community Outreach Team

Our Community Outreach team had an extraordinary year helping those in need in our community! The team raised $3100 in cash and food donations for West Central MO Commentinity Action Agency and Hope Haven, 77 shoes and donations for the Belton Education Foundation, $1000 for the Raymore High School Shooting team, 100 bottles of shampoo, and body washes for Just 4 Me in Harrisonville, cooked and served a meal for our homeless neighbors with Free Hot Soup and their auction baskets raised $390 for Help Humane in Belton. During the month of December, they kept two Giving Trees stocked with coats, gloves, scarves, and other winter gear.

A special thanks to everyone who contributed and the team that put these events together - Jennifer Reed, Sandy Kayser, Nancy Baalman, Marsha Warner, Eric Christensen, Christie Gray-Mangan, Donna Davis, Lorrie Peek, Lindsay Vanzandt, and Chair Barb Davis!

October Meeting 10.28.21 UPDATE

We would love for you to join us on October 28th at 6:30 pm at the Rotary Shelter at Lord's Park in Harrisonville.

If you'd like to bring food to eat for your family during the meeting that's fine. We will not be serving food as our Covid-19 numbers in Cass County are still far too high.

Cass Dems what can we say. THANK YOU! So darn proud to be a part of this amazing group of people who are always there caring about our community and stepping up to help those in need. For our August Community Service, we collected 76 pairs of shoes plus cash donations that will fund a gift card for any sizes still needed for the Belton Education Foundation that supports the students in the Belton School District. We will be setting a day next week to deliver our shoes to BEA and will send more pics then. Thanks again to the Community Sevice Committee and all of our donors 💙💙💙

July Monthly Meeting

We hope you can join us this Thursday night at the main shelter house in Wallace Park. We've been busy with our service projects and will be talking about what we're going to do next and how you can help!
We'll also have an update on the redistricting commissions, how to fight back about the misinformation regarding the Covid vaccine, and form a committee to bring back our Back to Blue fundraiser in 2022. No guest speakers this month, so we'll have plenty of time to visit and brainstorm. See you Thursday night!

Do you know what we noticed? We haven't seen any events to celebrate Pride month in Cass County!

So instead of a regular meeting in June, we're going to celebrate PRIDE. Free hot dogs, chips, and drinks while they last, starting at 6:30 pm on June 24th at the large pavilion in Wallace Park, Belton. If you'd like to bring a side dish or a dessert, feel free.

We’re proud to stand with and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this month and every month. You are loved. You are worthy. You are valued. You belong. You are welcomed here!
