Chili-Soup Cook-Off
Do you make a mean pot of soup or chili? Here's your chance to show-off your skills and raise some money for the Cass County Democratic Party.
From 5-6pm bring your family and enjoy the ranch! The Red Barn Ranchhas: a corn maze, barrel train, mini pumpkin painting, corn pit, cotton pit, small slides, big slide, pumpkin bowling, bean bag toss, pumpkin tic tac toe, an antique tractor barn with tractors on display, hay tunnel, and ALL this for only $5/person. The only extra costs are for the pumpkins themselves which are $.50 per pound. And the corn cannon is $1 per shot.
At 6:00pm the farm will close and the chili/soup judging and pie auction will begin!
ENTRANTS: Bring your entry pre-cooked and in a crock pot. You are welcome anytime between 5:00pm and 6:00pm and are not required to pay the fee for the ranch experience. Trophies will be awarded for Best Soup, Best Chili, and Peoples Choice!

The change we need at the local, state and national level isn't going to happen if new people with new ideas don't step up and RUN FOR OFFICE! Filing for municipal elections (city, school board, fire, water, sewer districts) begins on December 12th. There is so much going on right now in Cass County we want you to be informed and engaged, join us Thursday night!
McCaskill Town Hall Tour Comes to Harrisonville
Join us as we welcome Claire McCaskill to Cass County! 2 p.m. Friday in the sheriff's office training room inside the Cass County Justice Center, located at 2501 W. Mechanic St. in Harrisonville.
July Monthy Meeting
Join us Thursday night, at Brierly Hall, 277 W. 1st St. in Peculiar, Missouri. Do you want a say in what we stand for as Missouri Democrats? Now is your chance. Jalen Anderson, the Chair of the Platform Committee, will be joining us to get our input on issues that are important to us and what we think should be in the Platform of the Missouri Democratic Party.
We'll also have a representative from Clean Missouri to explain the petition to end gerrymandering and implement real campaign finance reform.
Dinner is catered at 6:30 pm for $12.00. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

June 2017 Monthly Meeting

This month we are very excited to welcome Jessica Ayala. Jessica is a native of Colombia South America, a Kansas City poet, writer, activist and artistic director. She has served Kansas City in many capacities from her work as a youth director to leading several GOTV campaigns. Her debut book of poems I'm Just A Kid From Ipiales will be released in 2018 highlighting the journey of an immigrant youth.
